וְנָתַתִּ֨י אֶת־נִקְמָתִ֜י בֶּאֱד֗וֹם בְּיַד֙ עַמִּ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְעָשׂ֣וּ בֶאֱד֔וֹם כְּאַפִּ֖י וְכַחֲמָתִ֑י וְיָֽדְעוּ֙ אֶת־נִקְמָתִ֔י נְאֻ֖ם אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהוִֽה׃ (פ)
Und ich werde meine Rache an Edom durch die Hand meines Volkes Israel legen; und sie werden in Edom tun nach meinem Zorn und nach meiner Wut; und sie werden meine Rache erkennen, spricht der Herr, GOTT.
Gittin
He said to an infant, "Recite your verse for me." He said to him, "And I will give my revenge upon Edom in the hand of my people, etc." (Ezekiel 25:14) He said, "The Holy One, blessed be He, wants to destroy His house and He wants to wipe off His hands with that man [who He uses to destroy it]." He ran away and he went and converted, and out from him came Rabbi Meir.
