וַֽיִּצְבְּאוּ֙ עַל־מִדְיָ֔ן כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־מֹשֶׁ֑ה וַיַּֽהַרְג֖וּ כָּל־זָכָֽר׃
Sie rückten mit dem Heereszug wider Midjan, wie der Herr dem Mose geboten, und erschlugen alles Männliche.
Targum Jonathan on Numbers
And they warred against Midian, circumventing them from three corners, as the Lord had instructed Mosheh, and they killed every male;
