וַיִּשְׁמַ֧ע יְהוֹשֻׁ֛עַ אֶת־ק֥וֹל הָעָ֖ם בְּרֵעֹ֑ה וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה ק֥וֹל מִלְחָמָ֖ה בַּֽמַּחֲנֶה׃
Da hörte Josua, [der Mose außerhalb des Lagers erwartet hatte], die Stimme des Volkes in seinem Jauchzen und sprach zu Mose: Kriegsgeschrei ist im Lager.
Targum Jonathan on Exodus
And Jehoshua heard the voice of the people exulting with joy before the calf. And he said to Mosheh, There is the voice of battle in the camp.
