וַיֵּ֨צְא֜וּ נֹגְשֵׂ֤י הָעָם֙ וְשֹׁ֣טְרָ֔יו וַיֹּאמְר֥וּ אֶל־הָעָ֖ם לֵאמֹ֑ר כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר פַּרְעֹ֔ה אֵינֶ֛נִּי נֹתֵ֥ן לָכֶ֖ם תֶּֽבֶן׃
Und die Aufseher des Volkes und seine Vögte gingen hinaus und sprachen zu dem Volke: Also spricht Pharao: Ich gebe euch kein Stroh.
Targum Jonathan on Exodus
And the officers and exactors of the people went forth, and said to the people, Thus saith Pharoh, I will not give you straw;
