וְלֹֽא־תָקִ֤יא הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ אֶתְכֶ֔ם בְּטַֽמַּאֲכֶ֖ם אֹתָ֑הּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר קָאָ֛ה אֶת־הַגּ֖וֹי אֲשֶׁ֥ר לִפְנֵיכֶֽם׃
Auf dass das Land nicht auch euch ausspeie, wenn ihr es verunreinigt, so wie es ausgespieen hat das Volk, das vor euch war.
Targum Jonathan on Leviticus
lest, when you pollute the land, it cast you forth, as it will have delivered itself of the people that were before you.
