מַדּ֨וּעַ בָּ֜אתִי וְאֵ֣ין אִ֗ישׁ קָרָֽאתִי֮ וְאֵ֣ין עוֹנֶה֒ הֲקָצ֨וֹר קָצְרָ֤ה יָדִי֙ מִפְּד֔וּת וְאִם־אֵֽין־בִּ֥י כֹ֖חַ לְהַצִּ֑יל הֵ֣ן בְּגַעֲרָתִ֞י אַחֲרִ֣יב יָ֗ם אָשִׂ֤ים נְהָרוֹת֙ מִדְבָּ֔ר תִּבְאַ֤שׁ דְּגָתָם֙ מֵאֵ֣ין מַ֔יִם וְתָמֹ֖ת בַּצָּמָֽא׃
Pourquoi suis-je venu et n’ai-je trouvé personne? Pourquoi ai-je appelé et nul n’a répondu? Mon bras est-il trop court pour la délivrance, et ne suis-je pas assez fort pour sauver? Par ma seule menace, je dessèche la mer, je change les fleuves en un sol aride, et les poissons pourrissent par manque d’eau, meurent par la sécheresse.
