בְּסַּאסְּאָ֖ה בְּשַׁלְחָ֣הּ תְּרִיבֶ֑נָּה הָגָ֛ה בְּרוּח֥וֹ הַקָּשָׁ֖ה בְּי֥וֹם קָדִֽים׃

C’est avec modération que tu as puni ce peuple en le congédiant, alors qu’au jour de la tempête tu as fait souffler un vent puissant.

When He comes from Edom with bloodied clothes having slain in Botzrah27See Isaiah 63:1. The prophet sees God in an allegorical sense as a Bloodied Warrior Who takes revenge on the imprisoner, torturer, and murderer of the Jewish People, as part of the final redemption. and executed traitors— the splashing of their lifeblood having reddened His garments. With His great power, He will diminish the [haughty] spirit of princes— “Afflicting them with His harsh wind on the day of the East Wind.”28Isaiah 27:8.
