אֲשֶׁר֩ נָתַ֨ן הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ לַיְּהוּדִ֣ים ׀ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּכָל־עִיר־וָעִ֗יר לְהִקָּהֵל֮ וְלַעֲמֹ֣ד עַל־נַפְשָׁם֒ לְהַשְׁמִיד֩ וְלַהֲרֹ֨ג וּלְאַבֵּ֜ד אֶת־כָּל־חֵ֨יל עַ֧ם וּמְדִינָ֛ה הַצָּרִ֥ים אֹתָ֖ם טַ֣ף וְנָשִׁ֑ים וּשְׁלָלָ֖ם לָבֽוֹז׃
[Il déclarait] que le roi autorisait les juifs, dans chaque ville, à se rassembler et à défendre leur vie, en exterminant, en tuant et en détruisant tout attroupement de populace qui les attaquerait, y compris les femmes et les enfants, et à faire main basse sur leur butin;

And the letters were sent by couriers to all the king's provinces; to destroy, to kill, and to annihilate all of the Jews, young and old, little children and women, in one day, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, the month of Adar, and to plunder their spoils.
