כִּ֣י לֹ֥א שְׁא֛וֹל תּוֹדֶ֖ךָּ מָ֣וֶת יְהַלְלֶ֑ךָּ לֹֽא־יְשַׂבְּר֥וּ יֽוֹרְדֵי־ב֖וֹר אֶל־אֲמִתֶּֽךָ׃
Aussi bien ce n’est pas le Cheol qui te célèbre, ce n’est pas la mort qui te loue; ceux qui sont descendus dans le sépulcre ne comptent plus sur ta fidélité.
Targum Jonathan on Isaiah
For they that are in the grave do not praise Thee; neither do the dead celebrate Thee, nor do those that descend into the pit of the place of Abaddon hope for Thy salvation.
