Inilah riwayat langit dan bumi ketika semuanya diciptakan, pada hari Allah Yang Mahakekal menjadikan bumi dan langit.
Zohar
R. Eleazar said: ‘The term “These are”, as we have learnt, always implies that something spoken of before in the text is now of no account. Now it is written above in the account of the Creation1Where also we find the expression ‘these are the generations, (Gen. 2, 4). that “A river went out from Eden to water the garden and from thence it was parted, etc.” (Gen. 2, 10). That stream which flows perennially entered the Garden to water it from the supernal waters, and brought gladness to it, making it produce fruit and seed for the universal content; and so the stream gladdened the Garden, as it is written, “And he rested on the seventh day” (Ibid. 3).
Zohar
This is indicated by the similarity of the phrase, “these are the accounts of the tabernacle”, and “these are the generations of the heaven and the earth”. For all the generations of heaven and earth were produced by the energy of that treasured-up Light; and likewise, all that came within the “accounts of the tabernacle” was accomplished by the same energy. How do we know this? Because Scripture says, “And Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah”, he being of the “right side”; “and with him was Oholiab”, who was of the “left side”, for the Tabernacle was made by the energy of both the right side and the left side, and was finally erected by Moses, who united the two.’
Sha'arei Orah
Know, that this glorious and awesome Name, HaShem-יהו״ה, blessed is He, is expressed in Torah in respect to many matters and with various usages. Know that throughout Torah, it most often is found alone, such as in verses that state, “HaShem-יהו״ה said,” or “HaShem-יהו״ה spoke,” and elsewhere. However, we sometimes find the Name HaShem-יהו"ה connected to one of His other holy names. For example, after the act of creation (Ma’aseh Bereishit) concludes, the verse states,1Genesis 2:4 “These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created, on the day that HaShem God-HaShem Elohi”m-יהו״ה אלהי״ם made earth and heaven.” However, throughout the act of creation (Ma’aseh Bereishit) itself,2Genesis 1 we only find His name God-Elohi”m-אלהי״ם on its own. However, in the following portion, when Torah begins speaking of creation perfected, as in, “These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created,” it then begins mentioning HaShem God-HaShem Elohi”m-יהו״ה אלהי״ם. We therefore must inform you of the reason.
