Kabbalah Yesaya 51:7: Reshit Chokhmah

Reshit Chokhmah

And even though Isaiah also said “Listen to Me, you who know what’s right, O people who lay My Torah to heart! Fear not mortals’ insults, and be not dismayed at their jeers” (Isaiah 51:7). And even though the text apparently repeats "you who know what’s right, O people who lay My Torah to heart" this is not a repetition, in my view, this is a hint for us to know with whom to talk, those who actually believe in God’s care. And this [also teaches] that if two people are in a dispute in front of a judge, one should not insult his companion, and if it happens the one insulted should be quiet and think that this is actually a good thing, since the disgrace of the insulting part will be revealed to the judge, as well as the malice of their heart. And about this it is written “you who know what’s right”, because such a person believes that God cares, and that God will repay and will answer in the person’s stead, and will give rest to those who really listen, and checks the hearts of people, and knows if their words are really for good or for the opposite. Up to here are his words on our issue.
