וַיָּקָם֩ יִשְׁמָעֵ֨אל בֶּן־נְתַנְיָ֜ה וַעֲשֶׂ֥רֶת הָאֲנָשִׁ֣ים ׀ אֲשֶׁר־הָי֣וּ אִתּ֗וֹ וַ֠יַּכּוּ אֶת־גְּדַלְיָ֨הוּ בֶן־אֲחִיקָ֧ם בֶּן־שָׁפָ֛ן בַּחֶ֖רֶב וַיָּ֣מֶת אֹת֑וֹ אֲשֶׁר־הִפְקִ֥יד מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֖ל בָּאָֽרֶץ׃
Lalu bangkitlah Ismael bin Netanya beserta sepuluh orang yang menyertainya, dan mereka memukul Gedalya bin Ahikam bin Safan dengan pedang. Demikianlah ia membunuh orang yang telah diangkat oleh raja Babel menjadi penguasa atas negeri itu.
