כִּֽי־תָבֹ֣א אֶל־הָאָ֗רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֨ר יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ נֹתֵ֣ן לָ֔ךְ וִֽירִשְׁתָּ֖הּ וְיָשַׁ֣בְתָּה בָּ֑הּ וְאָמַרְתָּ֗ אָשִׂ֤ימָה עָלַי֙ מֶ֔לֶךְ כְּכָל־הַגּוֹיִ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר סְבִיבֹתָֽי׃
Apabila engkau telah masuk ke negeri yang diberikan Yang Mahakekal, Allahmu, kepadamu, dan engkau telah mendudukinya serta menetap di sana, lalu engkau berkata, “Aku hendak mengangkat seorang raja atas diriku, seperti segala bangsa di sekelilingku”,

All the elders of Yisroel then gathered together and they came to Shmuel, to Romoh.

They said to him, "Behold! You are old, and your sons did not follow your ways. Appoint for us now a king to judge us, like all the nations."
