Yang Mahakekal, Allah langit, yang telah mengambil aku dari rumah ayahku dan dari tanah kelahiranku, yang telah berfirman tentang aku dan yang telah bersumpah kepadaku, demikian: ‘Kepada keturunanmu Aku akan memberikan negeri ini,’ Dialah yang akan mengutus malaikat-Nya mendahului engkau, dan engkau akan mengambil seorang istri bagi anakku dari sana.

[42] For this reason he glories elsewhere saying “The Lord, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, who took me out of my father’s house” (Gen. 24:7); for it is not possible that he whose abode is in the body and the mortal race should attain to being with God; this is possible only for him whom God rescues out of the prison.
