וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֗ה לֹ֤א נָכוֹן֙ לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת כֵּ֔ן כִּ֚י תּוֹעֲבַ֣ת מִצְרַ֔יִם נִזְבַּ֖ח לַיהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ הֵ֣ן נִזְבַּ֞ח אֶת־תּוֹעֲבַ֥ת מִצְרַ֛יִם לְעֵינֵיהֶ֖ם וְלֹ֥א יִסְקְלֻֽנוּ׃
Musa menjawab, “Tidak pantas berbuat demikian, sebab yang akan kami persembahkan sebagai kurban kepada Yang Mahakekal, Allah kami, adalah kekejian orang Mesir. Jika kami mempersembahkan kekejian orang Mesir itu sebagai kurban di depan mata mereka, bukankah mereka akan melempari kami dengan batu?

Moshe cried out to Adonoy saying, “What shall I do for this people? Before long they will stone me.”

Do not touch him [with your] hand, for he will be stoned or cast down. Neither man or beast will be allowed to live. When the [ram’s] horn is sounded with a long blast, they will [then] be permitted to go up on the mountain.”
