וְלֹ֣א אָבָ֗ה סִיחֹן֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ חֶשְׁבּ֔וֹן הַעֲבִרֵ֖נוּ בּ֑וֹ כִּֽי־הִקְשָׁה֩ יְהוָ֨ה אֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ אֶת־רוּח֗וֹ וְאִמֵּץ֙ אֶת־לְבָב֔וֹ לְמַ֛עַן תִּתּ֥וֹ בְיָדְךָ֖ כַּיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ (ס)
Tetapi Sihon, raja Hesybon, tidak mau mengizinkan kami melintasi negerinya, sebab Yang Mahakekal, Allahmu, telah mengeraskan semangatnya dan membuat hatinya tegar, supaya Ia menyerahkannya ke dalam tanganmu, seperti yang terjadi pada hari ini.

But Sihon the king of Heshbon was not willing to allow us to pass through his borders; for the Lord our God had hardened the form of his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, to deliver him into thy hand as at this day.
