וּבְשׁ֨וּב צַדִּ֤יק מִצִּדְקוֹ֙ וְעָ֣שָׂה עָ֔וֶל וְנָתַתִּ֥י מִכְשׁ֛וֹל לְפָנָ֖יו ה֣וּא יָמ֑וּת כִּ֣י לֹ֤א הִזְהַרְתּוֹ֙ בְּחַטָּאת֣וֹ יָמ֔וּת וְלֹ֣א תִזָּכַ֗רְןָ צִדְקֹתָו֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֔ה וְדָמ֖וֹ מִיָּדְךָ֥ אֲבַקֵּֽשׁ׃
Ancora una volta, quando un uomo giusto si allontana dalla sua giustizia e commette iniquità, metto un ostacolo davanti a lui, morirà; poiché non gli hai dato avvertimento, morirà nel suo peccato e le sue giuste azioni che ha compiuto non saranno ricordate; ma avrò bisogno del suo sangue per la tua mano.
