וַיָּקֻ֜מוּ וַיַּעֲל֣וּ בֵֽית־אֵל֮ וַיִּשְׁאֲל֣וּ בֵאלֹהִים֒ וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל מִ֚י יַעֲלֶה־לָּ֣נוּ בַתְּחִלָּ֔ה לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה עִם־בְּנֵ֣י בִנְיָמִ֑ן וַיֹּ֥אמֶר יְהוָ֖ה יְהוּדָ֥ה בַתְּחִלָּֽה׃
E i figli d'Israele si alzarono e salirono a Bethel e chiesero consiglio a Dio; e dissero:'Chi salirà per noi per primo a combattere contro i figli di Beniamino?' E l'Eterno disse: 'Giuda per primo.'
Rashi on Judges
Yehudah first. But they did not try to inquire whether they would be victorious or vanquished. When they ultimately tried, He replied, "Go up, for tomorrow I shall deliver them into your hand." They were consistent, and fulfilled their promise.4V.28.
