וַיֹּ֗אמֶר אַסְתִּ֤ירָה פָנַי֙ מֵהֶ֔ם אֶרְאֶ֖ה מָ֣ה אַחֲרִיתָ֑ם כִּ֣י ד֤וֹר תַּהְפֻּכֹת֙ הֵ֔מָּה בָּנִ֖ים לֹא־אֵמֻ֥ן בָּֽם׃
E lui ha detto: 'Nasconderò loro la mia faccia, vedrò quale sarà la loro fine; Perché sono una generazione molto futile, i bambini in cui non c'è fedeltà.

If their iniquities are grievous and too many to count, [then] by virtue of every fitting attribute cast them away, Adonoy, and conceal them; let our vigorous words of supplication annul that which is written: “I will hide [my face from them].”3Deut. 32:20. Why, Adonoy, do You stand far off, hiding Yourself in times of trouble?4Psalms 10:1.
