וַיְהִ֗י באמרם [כְּאָמְרָ֤ם] אֵלָיו֙ י֣וֹם וָי֔וֹם וְלֹ֥א שָׁמַ֖ע אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם וַיַּגִּ֣ידוּ לְהָמָ֗ן לִרְאוֹת֙ הֲיַֽעַמְדוּ֙ דִּבְרֵ֣י מָרְדֳּכַ֔י כִּֽי־הִגִּ֥יד לָהֶ֖ם אֲשֶׁר־ה֥וּא יְהוּדִֽי׃
Ed avendoglielo detto uno e più giorni, ed egli non dando loro ascolto, narrarono (la cosa) ad Haman, per vedere se le parole di Mordocheo (il suo rifiuto d'inchinarsi) potranno sostenersi; poiché aveva loro dichiarato ch'egli era giudeo.

Shmuel said to Shaul, "I was sent by Adonoy to anoint you as king over His people, over Yisroel. Now obey Adonoy's words.

Thus said Adonoy of Hosts, 'I have remembered what Amoleik did to Yisroel, that they ambushed them on the[ir] way, when they came up out of Egypt.

Now, go and strike Amoleik and destroy everything that is theirs. Have no pity on them; kill men and women, infants and sucklings, oxen and sheep, camels and donkeys.'"
