וְיֹאחֵ֣ז צַדִּ֣יק דַּרְכּ֑וֹ וּֽטֳהָר־יָ֝דַ֗יִם יֹסִ֥יף אֹֽמֶץ׃
그러므로 의인은 그 길을 독실히 행하고 손이 깨끗한 자는 점점 힘을 얻느니라
Sefer Chasidim
“Yet the righteous holdeth on his way” (Job 17:9). There is a man who is not sufficiently pure that God should accept his prayer. But because of the intensity of his supplications, the tears of his eyes1Ibid. and his constant weeping and importunations, even though he does not merit or possess good deeds, the Holy One, blessed be He, accepts his prayer and accedes to his request.2Berakoth 32b.
