Upon his arrival in Palestine Rabbi Chiya was received with love and honor by Rabbi Jehudah and he ate at his table.⁸⁾ערובין ע״ג א׳. When he helped the Nasi with the formulation of a law, Rabbi Jehudah applied to him the verse of Isaiah (46:11) “from a far land my counsellor has come.”⁹⁾מנחות פ״ח ב׳.
