Upon his arrival in Palestine Rabbi Chiya was received with love and honor by Rabbi Jehudah and he ate at his table.8)ערובין ע״ג א׳. When he helped the Nasi with the formulation of a law, Rabbi Jehudah applied to him the verse of Isaiah (46:11) “from a far land my counsellor has come.”9)מנחות פ״ח ב׳.
