Tractate Demay. took away the fat of grain.” From what was taken most? Rebbi Levi ben Ḥaita said, let us hear from the following²⁴⁰Ḥag. 2:16. Grain shrank from 1 to .5 but wine from 1 to .4, which is 20% less.: “One thought to come to a heap of twenty and it was ten. He came to the winepress to draw 50 pitchers,” it does not say ‘and there were 25’ but “and there were 20.” “²⁴¹This is the version of the Babylonian Mishnah.
