שֹׁמֵ֣ר פְּתָאיִ֣ם יְהֹוָ֑ה דַּ֝לּוֹתִ֗י וְלִ֣י יְהוֹשִֽׁיעַ׃

여호와께서는 어리석은 자를 보존하시나니 내가 낮게 될 때에 나를 구원하셨도다

Rebbi Yannai feared it so much that he put his bed on four beams [standing] in water. Once he stretched out his hand and found it near himself. He said, take it away from me, (Ps. 116:6) “the Eternal watches over the simple-minded.”

Jerusalem Talmud Terumot

It was stated: Rebbi Eliezer said, one may eat figs and grapes in the night without worry, since it is said (Ps. 116:6) “the Eternal watches over the simple-minded.” Rebbi Jonah in the name of Rav: A fish with pecking marks is forbidden. Rebbi Ḥizqiah, Rebbi Tabi in the name of Rav: A living fish with pecking marks is forbidden. If it is salted, through the salt it trembles176It is visible whether the salted fish is infected or not.. Dead177If it is clear that some animal pecked at the fish after it died., one cuts out the place of the pecking.
