וָאֲבַקֵּ֣שׁ מֵהֶ֡ם אִ֣ישׁ גֹּֽדֵר־גָּדֵר֩ וְעֹמֵ֨ד בַּפֶּ֧רֶץ לְפָנַ֛י בְּעַ֥ד הָאָ֖רֶץ לְבִלְתִּ֣י שַׁחֲתָ֑הּ וְלֹ֖א מָצָֽאתִי׃
E busquei dentre eles um homem que levantasse o muro, e se pusesse na brecha perante mim por esta terra, para que eu não a destruísse; porém a ninguém achei.

And threw it upon the shore — the Tzaddik is called "shore (GoDa)," a term for fence (GaDer), since he fences the breaches of Israel (Eze. 22, Isa. 58), and this is: "And threw it upon the shore," since he drew himself close to the Tzaddik.
