וְנִשְׁל֨וֹחַ סְפָרִ֜ים בְּיַ֣ד הָרָצִים֮ אֶל־כָּל־מְדִינ֣וֹת הַמֶּלֶךְ֒ לְהַשְׁמִ֡יד לַהֲרֹ֣ג וּלְאַבֵּ֣ד אֶת־כָּל־הַ֠יְּהוּדִים מִנַּ֨עַר וְעַד־זָקֵ֨ן טַ֤ף וְנָשִׁים֙ בְּי֣וֹם אֶחָ֔ד בִּשְׁלוֹשָׁ֥ה עָשָׂ֛ר לְחֹ֥דֶשׁ שְׁנֵים־עָשָׂ֖ר הוּא־חֹ֣דֶשׁ אֲדָ֑ר וּשְׁלָלָ֖ם לָבֽוֹז׃
E cartas foram enviadas por meio de mensageiros a todas as províncias do rei, para destruir, matar e exterminar todos os judeus, desde jovens até idosos, crianças e mulheres, em um só dia, no décimo terceiro dia do décimo segundo mês, que é o mês de Adar, e para saquear seus bens.

that the king authorized the Jews in every city to congregate and to defend their lives, to destroy, kill and annihilate the powers of any people or province that oppressed them [viz. 3:13], (even) young children and women, and to take their spoils.
