וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֔יו הַגִּידָה־נָּ֣א לָ֔נוּ בַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר לְמִי־הָרָעָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את לָ֑נוּ מַה־מְּלַאכְתְּךָ֙ וּמֵאַ֣יִן תָּב֔וֹא מָ֣ה אַרְצֶ֔ךָ וְאֵֽי־מִזֶּ֥ה עַ֖ם אָֽתָּה׃
Тогда сказали ему: 'Скажи нам, мы молим тебя, для чьей причины это зло на нас: что твое занятие? и откуда ты пришел? какая твоя страна? и из каких ты людей?'
Targum Jonathan on Jonah
And they said to him, “Tell us, now, you on whose account this evil is ours. What is your labor? And where do you come from? Which is your country, and of which people are you?”
