Komentaryo sa Daniel 3:15: Rashi & Ibn Ezra

Ibn Ezra

[Daniel 3:15] Now (כְּעַן - Ke'an): [Means] Now (ʿAtah). If you are ready (הֵן אִיתֵיכוֹן עֲתִידִין - hen iteikhon ʿatidin): [Ibn Ezra interprets the king giving them this second chance as follows:] Behold, you are ready (hineh yeshkhem ʿatidim). He accorded them honor (chalak lahem kavod), perhaps [thinking] he would not kill them on account of Daniel's honor (ulai lo yahargem baʿavur k'vod Daniel).
