Kabbalah sa Isaias 1:30: Sha'arei Orah

Sha'arei Orah

However, when the Jewish people stray from the ways of HaShem-יהו״ה, blessed is He, then this quality is lacking, and becomes poor and impoverished, “like an elm tree with wilted leaves, and like a garden with no water.”185Isaiah 1:30 It then becomes like a tree that has shed (Nosher-נושר) all its fruit, at which time the Jewish people are impoverished and lowly, despised and abandoned to disgrace and derision. It then is called by the term “Nesher-נשר” of the same root as186Talmud Bavli, Shabbat 67a “a tree that sheds-Masheer-משיר its fruit.”
