כִּ֣י עַ֤ם קָדוֹשׁ֙ אַתָּ֔ה לַיהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ בְּךָ֞ בָּחַ֣ר ׀ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ לִהְי֥וֹת לוֹ֙ לְעַ֣ם סְגֻלָּ֔ה מִכֹּל֙ הָֽעַמִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־פְּנֵ֥י הָאֲדָמָֽה׃ (ס)
Sapagkat ikaw ay isang banal na bayan para sa Walang-Hanggan na iyong Diyos; ikaw ang pinili ng Walang-Hanggan na iyong Diyos upang maging Kanyang natatanging bayan, Kanyang mahal na pag-aari, mula sa lahat ng bayan na nasa ibabaw ng lupa.

For you are a sacred people to Adonoy, your God, and Adonoy has chosen you to be for Him a treasured people from all the peoples who are on the surface of the earth.
