וְעַמֵּ֣י הָאָ֡רֶץ הַֽמְבִיאִים֩ אֶת־הַמַּקָּח֨וֹת וְכָל־שֶׁ֜בֶר בְּי֤וֹם הַשַּׁבָּת֙ לִמְכּ֔וֹר לֹא־נִקַּ֥ח מֵהֶ֛ם בַּשַּׁבָּ֖ת וּבְי֣וֹם קֹ֑דֶשׁ וְנִטֹּ֛שׁ אֶת־הַשָּׁנָ֥ה הַשְּׁבִיעִ֖ית וּמַשָּׁ֥א כָל־יָֽד׃
at na kung ang mga bayan ng lupain ay magdala ng mga kalakal o ng anumang uri ng butil sa araw ng Sabbath upang ipagbili, hindi kami bibili sa kanila sa Sabbath o sa banal na araw; at iiwan naming hindi sinasaka ang lupain sa ikapitong taon, at patatawarin namin ang bawat pautang.
Deuteronomy
And this is the statement of shemitah: suspend every creditor’s hand from his loan to his neighbor; he will not claim [it] from his neighbor or his brother because it was proclaimed shemitah to Adonoy.
Exodus
But on the seventh [year] you must let it rest, and abandon it [by not eating its produce], and let the needy among your people eat it. What they leave over, the beasts of the field can eat. Do the same with your vineyard and your olive [trees].
