כֹּ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה ק֣וֹל בְּרָמָ֤ה נִשְׁמָע֙ נְהִי֙ בְּכִ֣י תַמְרוּרִ֔ים רָחֵ֖ל מְבַכָּ֣ה עַל־בָּנֶ֑יהָ מֵאֲנָ֛ה לְהִנָּחֵ֥ם עַל־בָּנֶ֖יהָ כִּ֥י אֵינֶֽנּוּ׃ (ס)
Ganito ang sabi ng Walang-Hanggan: Isang tinig ang narinig sa Rama, panaghoy at mapait na pagtangis; si Raquel ay tumatangis dahil sa kanyang mga anak; ayaw niyang paaliw dahil sa kanyang mga anak, sapagkat wala na sila.

"Thus says the Lord: A voice is heard in the heights of the world, the house of Israel weeping and groaning after Jeremiah the prophet, whom Nevuzaradan the slaughterer sent from Ramah, weeping bitterly, Jerusalem weeping for its children, refusing to be comforted for her children, for they are exiled."
