נאָר אײַך האָב איך דערקענט פֿון אַלע משפּחות פֿון דער ערד, דרום װעל איך זיך רעכענען מיט אײַך פֿאַר אַלע אײַערע זינד.
Rashi
Only you did I love Heb. יָדַעְתִּי, lit., I knew. I loved you, but you rebelled against Me; therefore,... But our Sages expounded on it in a different manner in Tractate Avodah Zarah (4a).
Tze'enah Ure'enah
“You alone have I known of all the families of the earth, etc.” [3:2]. God said: only you, Israel, have I loved more than all the nations of the earth. You have seen the signs that I have done for you. Therefore, I want to remember your transgressions to pay you for them.
