אֵיכָה֩ יָעִ֨יב בְּאַפּ֤וֹ ׀ אֲדֹנָי֙ אֶת־בַּת־צִיּ֔וֹן הִשְׁלִ֤יךְ מִשָּׁמַ֙יִם֙ אֶ֔רֶץ תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְלֹא־זָכַ֥ר הֲדֹם־רַגְלָ֖יו בְּי֥וֹם אַפּֽוֹ׃ (ס)
Wie hat der Herr die Tochter Zions in seinem Zorn mit einer Wolke bedeckt! Er hat die Schönheit Israels vom Himmel auf die Erde geworfen und sich am Tag seines Zorns nicht an seinen Schemel erinnert.

From heaven to earth. After He lifted them up to heaven, He cast them to earth all at once, and not gradually;3Otherwise Scripture should have stated לארץ, instead of ארץ, the latter expression indicates that it was done in one instant. (Sifsei Chachomim) from a lofty roof to a deep pit.
