וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֗ם הִנָּבֵ֤א וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהֹוִ֔ה אֶל־בְּנֵ֥י עַמּ֖וֹן וְאֶל־חֶרְפָּתָ֑ם וְאָמַרְתָּ֗ חֶ֣רֶב חֶ֤רֶב פְּתוּחָה֙ לְטֶ֣בַח מְרוּטָ֔ה לְהָכִ֖יל לְמַ֥עַן בָּרָֽק׃

Dan engkau, hai anak manusia, bernubuatlah dan katakanlah: Beginilah firman Tuhan Yang Mahakekal tentang bani Amon dan tentang cercaan mereka. Katakanlah: Pedang, pedang telah terhunus untuk pembantaian; pedang itu telah digosok hingga mengilap agar sanggup menampung banyak korban, supaya berkilat seperti halilintar!
