לֹֽא־יֵאָמֵר֩ לָ֨ךְ ע֜וֹד עֲזוּבָ֗ה וּלְאַרְצֵךְ֙ לֹא־יֵאָמֵ֥ר עוֹד֙ שְׁמָמָ֔ה כִּ֣י לָ֗ךְ יִקָּרֵא֙ חֶפְצִי־בָ֔הּ וּלְאַרְצֵ֖ךְ בְּעוּלָ֑ה כִּֽי־חָפֵ֤ץ יְהוָה֙ בָּ֔ךְ וְאַרְצֵ֖ךְ תִּבָּעֵֽל׃

Non sarai più definito Abbandonato, né più la tua terra sarà definita Desolata; Ma sarai chiamato, la mia gioia è in lei, e la tua terra, sposata; Poiché l'Eterno si diletta in te e la tua terra sarà sposata.

Thou shalt no more be termed forsaken, etc. This verse shows that the words For Zion’s sake, etc. are spoken by the Lord; the expression I will not rest, etc. must be taken in a figurative sense.
