Torah (Deuteronomy 32:1-6)

Sit, sit, [you] lofty guests; sit, sit [you] holy guests; sit, sit [you] guests of faith. Worthy is Israel's portion, as it is written (Deuteronomy 32:9), "For the Lord’s portion is His people, Jacob His allotment."

Torah (Deuteronomy 32:7-12)

Father of compassion, Who dwells on high, in His profound mercy, He will be compassionately mindful of the pious, the upright, and the blameless ones; the holy communities who gave their lives for the sanctification of the Divine Name. They were beloved and pleasant in their lifetime, and in their death are not parted [from Him].²⁰2 Samuel 1:23. They were swifter than eagles and stronger than lions to do the will of their Possessor and the desire of their Rock. Our God will recall them favorably together with the other righteous of all time. And will avenge the blood of His servants that has been shed. As it is written in the Torah of Moses, the man of God, “Sing [you] nations, [the praise] of His people, for the blood of His servants will He avenge, and vengeance will He repay to His foes; and His land will be atoned [with the atonement] of His people.”²¹Deuteronomy 32:43, see Rashi. And by the hands of Your servants, the Prophets, it is written saying: “I will cleanse them²²God will forgive the nations for their wrongdoings but He will not forgive them for shedding Jewish blood. [but] for their blood,²³Their blood refers to Jewish blood. I will not cleanse them, and Adonoy [still] dwells in Zion.”²⁴Joel 4:21. And in the Holy Writings, it is said, “Why should the nations say, ‘Where is their God?' Let it be known among the nations, before our eyes,²⁵Before our eyes i.e. in our lifetime. the avenging of the blood of Your servants that has been shed.”²⁶Psalms 79:10. And it says, “For He Who is concerned for the blood[shed], He is mindful of them, He has not forgotten the cry of the humble.”²⁷Psalms 9:13. And it says: “He will judge the nations [the battlefield will be] filled with [their] corpses. He will crush heads on the earth many times. From the brook by the wayside will He drink;²⁸God will be satisfied with the vengeance He will wreak upon the nations, as one is satisfied when he drinks from a brook at the wayside.—Metsudas Dovid therefore [Israel] will hold its head high.²⁹Psalms 11:6, 7. When God takes His vengeance, Israel will be vindicated and hold its head high with pride.

Torah (Deuteronomy 32:37)

If their guilt be so great as to reach the heavens and their stars, [then] by virtue of every fitting attribute, I plead for mercy for them, to annul for them what is written:¹Deut. 32:26. “I said I will scatter them etc.” Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?”²Psalms 115:2.

If their iniquities are grievous and too many to count, [then] by virtue of every fitting attribute cast them away, Adonoy, and conceal them; let our vigorous words of supplication annul that which is written: “I will hide [my face from them].”³Deut. 32:20. Why, Adonoy, do You stand far off, hiding Yourself in times of trouble?⁴Psalms 10:1.

Power of vengeances, Judge of the earth, please remember the rivers of blood that were spilled like water, the blood of fathers and sons, mothers and their babes, our rabbis and their students; and pay back upon the enemies of Your people seven times their due. Let not the invocation of 'Shema Yisrael' be silent from those that were taken to [their] death; and raise up the howls of the tortured ones in front of the throne of Your honor, to - speedily in our days and in front of our eyes - avenge the blood of Your holy and pure sons and daughters, who did not merit to [receive] a Jewish funeral. As it is written (Deuteronomy 32:43), "for the blood of His servants will He avenge, and He will pay back vengeance on His enemies, and His land will atone for His people."

Cover not their blood, and let their cry find no [resting] place,¹Job 16:18. until Adonoy looks from heaven and sees, and takes His own vengeance, and the vengeance of His people, and the vengeance of His Torah, and the vengeance of His servants whose blood was poured like water; as You promised us through [Moses], the father of all prophets, “Sing the praises of His people, you nations, for the blood of His servants, He will avenge, and vengeance will He repay to His foes; and His land will be atoned [with the atonement] of His people.”²Deuteronomy 32:43.

His Name is glorified by the congregation of His bond,²See Devarim 32:9. “Yaakov is the bond of His inheritance (יעקֹב חבל נחלתו‍ֹ).” and He is revered by His holy angels, and in His Sanctuary His glory is proclaimed by all. Holy is He.
