וְדִבֶּ֨ר יְהוָ֤ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה֙ פָּנִ֣ים אֶל־פָּנִ֔ים כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר יְדַבֵּ֥ר אִ֖ישׁ אֶל־רֵעֵ֑הוּ וְשָׁב֙ אֶל־הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה וּמְשָׁ֨רְת֜וֹ יְהוֹשֻׁ֤עַ בִּן־נוּן֙ נַ֔עַר לֹ֥א יָמִ֖ישׁ מִתּ֥וֹךְ הָאֹֽהֶל׃ (ס)
사람이 그 친구와 이야기함 같이 여호와께서는 모세와 대면하여 말씀하시며 모세는 진으로 돌아오나 그 수종자 눈의 아들 청년 여호수아는 회막을 떠나지 아니하니라
Sefer Mitzvot Gadol
Moses received the Torah from the Master of the world on Sinai, and transmitted it to Joshua. As it is written, "but [Moses'] attendant, Joshua son of Nun, [serving as] deputy, would not stir out of the Tent." And Joshua transmitted [the Torah] to the Seventy Elders to accustom [the people of] Israel after [the Torah] in the true path, as he said, "And Israel served G-D all the days of Joshua and all the days of the Elders." And the Elders transmitted [the Torah] to the Prophets, and the Early Prophets transmitted [the Torah] to the Later Prophets, and they are Haggai, Zecharia and Malachi, and they transmitted [the Torah] to the People of the Great Assembly, and from them we received the wisdom generation after generation from then till now, and when the community was exiled in the days of Jehoiachin king of Judah that the honored of Judah and Benjamin were exiled with him, and [the] righteous prophets Daniel and his company, and Ezra the scribe and his company, and Mordekhai and his company and also Jeremiah and Baruch were exiled afterwards to Babylon after Egyt was conquered by Nebuchadnezzar and with him they were brought down to Babylon, and from that day and onwards study halls of wisdom did not move from the location of Nehardea which sits on [the banks] of the Euphrates, and there was a gathering of most of the sages until this very day, and they are the learned sages that learnt from the mouths of the prophets who were exiled with Jehoiachin, and when those in exile went up with Zerubbabel to Jerusalem and afterwards a portion went up with Ezra and established a study hall of wisdom in Jerusalem, not all of those exiled went up with them but a large group of Israel remained in Babylon, and even though that a study hall of wisdom was established in Jerusalem the Nehardean study hall did not cease, and from the study halls of Israel and the study halls of Babylon sages and prophets, rulings went out to all of Israel and all of Israel lived by their words and generation after generation until this very day and all those who are created should ponder these things because in truth G-D revealed to Moses the explanation of each and every commandmant, and the measure of each and every thing and their proper specifications, and this is the oral Torah
