Master of the Universe! Fulfill the requests of my heart for good, gratify my wish, and grant my request. Make me worthy— Your servant [mention your Hebrew name], son of Your maidservant [mention your mother's Hebrew name] and my wife, sons, and daughters, and all the members of my household, —to do Your will wholeheartedly. Rescue us from the Evil Inclination, and grant us our share in Your Torah. Make us worthy of Your Divine Presence resting upon us, and shine upon us the spirit of wisdom and understanding. May there be fulfilled with us the verse that reads: “And the spirit of Adonoy will rest upon him— the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of perception and fear of Adonoy.”⁸Isaiah 11:2. And so may it be Your will Adonoy, our God, and God of our fathers, to make us worthy to do good deeds [that are pleasing] in Your eyes, and to walk in the paths of the upright, before You. Sanctify us with Your holiness that we may be worthy of good and long lives, and life in the World-to-Come. Guard us from evil deeds and from evil times which assail the world. And he who trusts in Adonoy, kindliness will surround him.⁹Psalms 32:10. Amein.
