זע, גאָט, און קוק װעמען דו האָסט אַזױנס געטאָן! דאַרפֿן װײַבער עסן זײער פֿרוכט, קינדער געצערטלטע? דאַרף געטײט װערן אין הײליקטום פֿון גאָט דער כֹּהן און דער נבֿיא?

I [(Jeremiah, am the prophet who)] has seen affliction [(i.e., the destruction of the Temple), more so than any other prophet who foretold it (it not having taken place in their days, but in mine)], by the rod of His wrath.
